Argelato inaugurates new municipal library in Villa Beatrice

A new municipal library has been inaugurated in Argelato, located within the east wing of the historic Villa Beatrice (formerly Villa Angelelli-Zambeccari). The 16th-century building underwent a significant conservative restoration project to transform the space into a modern cultural and social hub.

The project was supported by regional funding totaling 567,849 euros, which covered both the building's renovation and the acquisition of furnishings and equipment. Spanning approximately 300 square meters, the facility is designed to be fully accessible and includes Wi-Fi, internet workstations, and interactive electronic whiteboards.

Beyond traditional book lending, the library is intended to serve as a community center for all ages. The multi-functional hall will host seminars, workshops, author presentations, and performances, supported by an adjacent green area for study and leisure.
