Argentina: 380,000 people enroll in non-formal education for rapid job placement
An annual report titled “Educación no formal: oferta y perspectivas,” produced by the Observatory for Education and Work of the Argentine Chamber for Professional Training and Labor Skills, reveals that nearly 380,000 Argentines enroll in non-formal education each year to update skills or seek new employment.
Driven by a demanding economic climate, students are increasingly prioritizing short-term programs. Approximately 69% of courses offered last six months or less, a significant increase from 54% in 2022. Within this group, 32% are programs lasting up to three months, while 37% span three to six months. Additionally, 34% of these educational offerings utilize a hybrid virtual and in-person modality.
Hernán Martini, director of the Observatory, stated that these institutions provide concrete opportunities for professional development and help workers adapt to a transforming labor market.
