Argentina adolescent labor shows high regional concentration

A report by the Observatorio de Trabajo Infantil y Adolescentes regarding territorial inequalities in formal labor insertion for adolescents and youth in Argentina (2011-2021) highlights a significant concentration of formal employment in the country’s central regions.

According to the data, the Pampean region (32.3%), the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (24.3%), and the districts of the Buenos Aires Conurbano (16.9%) account for more than 70% of the analyzed cases. The report notes that as labor rights diminish, an invisible world of adolescent labor continues to grow within the country.
