Argentina advances construction of new hospital facilities in Santa Fe and Mendoza

The provincial government of Santa Fe launched a public tender for a new hospital in the town of Elortondo. Sixteen companies submitted bids for a project costing 7.308 billion Argentine pesos, covering more than 2,600 m² and scheduled to be completed within 540 days. Officials highlighted modern design features, expanded outpatient and emergency services, and extensive ancillary spaces.

In Mendoza, the provincial health ministry inaugurated a 2,500 m² annex to the centenary Hospital Lencinas in Godoy Cruz. The new building, funded with 12 billion pesos, adds 16 equipped consultories, a guardia with a shock‑room, triage, pharmacy and expanded patient‑management facilities. Authorities said the annex will relieve high‑complexity emergency units at other regional hospitals and allow the addition of new specialties.

Both projects aim to modernise public health infrastructure and improve access to specialised care in their respective regions.
