Argentina implements digital signatures and electronic filing for public administration
Argentina is advancing several digital transformation initiatives within its public administration. The Ministry of Strategic Planning and Modernization, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, has launched a digital signature system for educational public works. This tool aims to streamline administrative procedures, ensure document traceability, and reduce paper use by digitizing reports, work certificates, and environmental or social documentation.
In the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, the Legislature is implementing the Administrative Digital File System (EDA) starting October 1, 2026. This platform will replace physical folders with digital management, allowing for the creation and tracking of digital files to improve transparency and efficiency.
Additionally, in the Province of Buenos Aires, the Provincial Directorate of Legal Entities (DPPJ) is transitioning to mandatory digital procedures. Starting October 1, 2026, all reports regarding entities under the DPPJ's supervision must be processed exclusively through digital and remote forms.
