Argentina advances road infrastructure with projects in El Trébol and Mendoza

In the Santa Fe city of El Trébol, officials inaugurated construction of a new roundabout at the junction of Provincial Route 13 and Route 40 S. The project will replace the existing confusing intersection, raise Route 13 by about 80 cm over 1.2 km to improve drainage, and is promoted as a historic investment for road safety and community benefits.

In Mendoza, the provincial road authority completed a 22‑km resurfacing and repainting of the double yellow centre line on Provincial Route 86, known locally as Los Cerrillos, linking Tupungato and Luján de Cuyo. The work aims to enhance visibility, especially at night and in icy conditions, and to prevent overtaking. The agency also reported progress on a separate 85‑km improvement of unpaved Route 153 in the eastern zone, important for livestock transport.

Both projects illustrate Argentina’s ongoing investment in regional road safety and transport efficiency.
