Argentina allocates $18.1 million to boost yerba mate exports

The National Institute of Yerba Mate (INYM) has approved a program to allocate $18.12 million to promote international commercial activities. The initiative, established via Resolution 113/2026, aims to support companies with export capacity by providing economic assistance to cover travel and accommodation expenses during commercial missions and foreign market development activities.

Eligible participants include packers, mill-packers, and producers of yerba mate derivatives registered in the Single Registry of Yerba Mate Sector Operators, provided they demonstrate export capacity. To prevent overlapping budget allocations, companies are excluded from this specific benefit if they participate in international fairs or exhibitions where the INYM already provides or finances stands and spaces.

Applicants must maintain up-to-date sworn statements and information. The program excludes operators with unpaid fines, lapsed payment agreements, or ongoing judicial litigation with the INYM regarding patrimonial issues.
