Argentina and Brazil conduct joint naval diving exercises

The Argentine Navy and the Brazilian Navy conducted joint naval diving and salvage operations during the XXXIX Fraterno binational exercise. The activities took place off the coast of Mar del Plata, specifically within the Cristo Redentor submarine park.

Utilizing the Argentine rescue vessel MB Guillobel, personnel from both nations performed deep-sea diving maneuvers at depths of up to 25 meters. The exercise focused on enhancing interoperability and standardizing procedures between the two naval forces. The MB Guillobel demonstrated its dynamic positioning system to maintain stability during underwater operations. Following the maritime phase, training continued on land at the Mar del Plata Naval Base using simulators to practice deep diving, decompression profiles, and emergency response techniques.
