Argentina and Chile law schools launch new practical training programs

The Colegio de Abogados de Zárate Campana (CAZC) in Argentina expanded its continuing‑education offerings with a new session of its Professional Initiation Course, covering topics such as damages and appeals, and announced online diplomas and specialized modules on family law, technology‑related damages, and criminal law for non‑criminalists. The programs, organized by the Young and New Lawyers Commission and the Fundación CIJUSO, aim to provide practical tools for lawyers throughout their careers.

At the Universidad Autónoma de Buenos Aires (UNAB) campus in Concepción, Chile, the university’s legal clinic hosted a criminal‑defense lecture delivered by attorney Álvaro Araya, a former public defender and current partner at Alarcón Araya Abogados. Araya discussed real‑world litigation strategies, the role of the public defender’s office, and the importance of practical training for law students aspiring to criminal practice.
