Argentina and Israel sign defense cooperation memorandum

Argentina and Israel have signed a memorandum of understanding in Buenos Aires to deepen defense cooperation. The agreement aims to expand exchange and collaboration in areas including equipment, technology, innovation, and development.

The memorandum was signed by Argentine Defense Minister Carlos Presti and the Israeli Ambassador to Buenos Aires, Ahuva Spieler. According to the Argentine Ministry of Defense, the move is part of an effort to modernize the nation's armed forces and strengthen ties with strategic partners.

The agreement follows months of negotiations and aligns with the diplomatic relationship between President Javier Milei and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It is linked to the Isaac Agreements, an initiative launched in late 2025.
