Argentina launches $70,000 July pension bonus and 2.6% increase for retirees

The Argentine government issued decree 532/2026, signed by President Javier Milei and cabinet members, to pay an extraordinary pension bonus of up to 70,000 pesos in July 2026. The payment applies to all ANSES beneficiaries whose total entitlements are at or below the guaranteed minimum pension, including recipients of the universal seniors pension (PUAM) and non‑contributive pensions.

Concurrent with the bonus, the regular mobility formula raises pension amounts by 2.58 % (about 2.6 %). The minimum guaranteed pension rises to roughly 403,318 pesos, while the bonus is added to the July salary without deductions. Because the bonus amount has been frozen since March 2024, analysts note its purchasing power is eroded by inflation, limiting its real impact on retirees.

The decree also sets the July payment calendar, with disbursements from 8 to 22 July depending on the holder’s identification number.
