Argentina and neighbors strengthen regional ties through culture and conservation

Cultural and environmental initiatives are strengthening ties between Argentina and its neighbors. In Buenos Aires, the Embassy of Paraguay hosted a cultural event focused on the Guaraní language and Chamamé music. The gathering, which included representatives from the Government of Entre Ríos, aimed to celebrate the shared heritage and regional identity that connects Paraguay with the Argentine Litoral region. During the event, researcher Carolina Gandulfo was recognized for her work on Guaraní-Spanish bilingualism.

Simultaneously, a binational nautical event took place along the Uruguay River to promote the conservation of the Islas y Canales Verdes Provincial Park. Under the theme ‘One river, one park,’ participants from Argentina and Uruguay engaged in kayaking activities and workshops focused on local biodiversity and climate change adaptation. The initiative seeks to foster regional integration and support community tourism through public-private and international cooperation.
