Argentina and Peru introduce online electoral verification platforms

Argentina's Dirección Nacional Electoral has made an official party‑affiliation register available online, allowing any citizen to check whether they are listed as a member of a political party. The system confirms affiliation status but does not disclose the party name, and users can request cancellation of unwanted registrations through the electoral justice system.

Peru's Oficina Nacional de Procesos Electorales has launched a digital platform for more than 800,000 citizens to verify if they have been selected as primary or substitute poll‑table members for the 2026 municipal and regional elections. The site requires a national ID number and a security code, and it provides the assigned voting location and compensation details for those who serve.

Both initiatives aim to increase transparency and reduce administrative hurdles in their respective electoral processes.
