Argentina and United States strengthen health cooperation

Key areas of discussion included healthy nutrition as a preventive tool and the 'Make Our Children Healthy Again' strategy, presented by Bethany Kozma of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, which aims to combat non-communicable diseases in children.

Additionally, officials reviewed ongoing collaboration between Argentina's ANLIS-Malbrán and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) regarding epidemiological surveillance, biosecurity, and antimicrobial resistance. Lugones noted that international cooperation is essential for anticipating and responding to health threats that transcend borders.
