Santa Fe 2026 South American Games prepare with new arena and medals

Preparations for the 2026 South American Games in Santa Fe, Argentina, have reached new milestones with the official unveiling of the competition medals and the inauguration of the Invencible Arena in Rosario.

The medals feature a design inspired by the province's identity, incorporating the river, the countryside, and the sun. The event, scheduled for September 12–26, 2026, is expected to host over 4,000 athletes from 15 countries competing in 43 sports and 60 disciplines.

Infrastructure development is a major focus, with the provincial government investing over $90 million, including $75 million from the CAF (Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean). Key projects include the Invencible Arena, a multipurpose stadium, and upgrades to the Yacht Club Santa Fe and Club Náutico Sur to support sailing competitions. Officials, including Governor Maximiliano Pullaro and National Secretary Daniel Scioli, attended recent ceremonies to highlight the regional impact and the importance of these facilities for future sporting events.
