Argentina banks lift 30‑day fixed‑term deposit rates to as high as 23%
Argentina’s banks have updated the interest rates on 30‑day non‑transferable fixed‑term deposits following the latest table released by the Banco Central de la República Argentina (BCRA). The new rates range from 16% to 23% annual nominal (TNA), with the highest yields offered by Crédito Regional Compañía Financiera and Reba Compañía Financiera at 23%.
Among the traditional lenders, Banco de la Nación Argentina leads with a 19% TNA, followed by Banco Macro (18.5%), Banco BBVA Argentina (18.25%) and ICBC Argentina (17.7%). Several provincial and city banks also appear in the ranking, offering rates between 16% and 22.5%.
A sample calculation shows that a deposit of 3,000,000 Argentine pesos at a 19% TNA would generate roughly 46,850 pesos in interest over the 30‑day term, returning about 3,046,850 pesos at maturity.
