Argentina basketball announces 24-player roster for FIBA Qualifiers

Coach Pablo Prigioni has announced the 24-player preliminary roster for the Argentina national basketball team ahead of the fourth window of the FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers. The squad includes established stars such as Gabriel Deck, Facundo Campazzo, Nicolás Laprovittola, Leandro Bolmaro, and Luca Vildoza.

Among the selected players is Carlos Rivero, a standout from Salta who recently won the Liga Nacional de Básquet with Gimnasia y Esgrima de Comodoro Rivadavia. The preliminary group will begin training on August 14 to determine the final roster.

Argentina is scheduled to play two key matches in late August: a home game against Puerto Rico in Mar del Plata on August 27, followed by a match against Canada in Quebec on August 31. The qualification process will continue in November with games against the Bahamas and Canada, concluding in 2027.
