Argentina businessman's $6 million estate under investigation for alleged will forgery

Authorities in Santa Fe, Argentina, are investigating a legal dispute involving the estate of Norberto Santilli, an 82-year-old agricultural businessman from Armstrong who died in July 2025. The case centers on a will signed in May 2025, which reportedly leaves his entire inheritance, valued at approximately six million dollars, to his driver and assistant, Agustín M.

The claim was brought forward by Celia Santilli, the deceased's cousin and alleged legitimate heir. Legal filings suggest that prior to his death, Norberto Santilli had expressed dissatisfaction with his assistant and had consulted a notary regarding the process of terminating his employment and revoking vehicle permissions.

During a recent hearing in Cañada de Gómez, Criminal Judge Álvaro Campos, at the request of prosecutor Juan Pablo Baños, ordered that all of Santilli's real estate assets be listed as litigious for a period of six months. The investigation seeks to determine the validity of the document and whether the signature was forged.
