Argentina celebrates 43rd Pizza and Empanada Night

The 43rd edition of ‘La Noche de la Pizza y la Empanada’ will take place across Argentina this Tuesday, September 15, starting at 7:00 PM. Organized by the Asociación de Pizzerías y Casas de Empanadas de la República Argentina (APYCE), the event features a record number of participating establishments.

Promotions typically include 50% discounts on pizzas and 3x2 deals on empanadas. Participating businesses can choose to apply these offers to dine-in, delivery, or take-away services. More than 1,500 gastronomic venues are expected to participate nationwide, with many reporting significant increases in daily turnover during previous years.

As a precursor to the main event, a tasting session was held on Monday, September 14, at Plaza Astor Piazzolla in front of the Obelisco. During this session, 5,000 portions of pizza and empanadas were prepared live, with all proceeds donated to the ‘Exploradores Argentinos Don Bosco – Batallón 44’ in San Justo.
