Argentina celebrates Spanish heritage in Mendoza and La Plata

Various cities in Argentina held events to honor Spanish heritage and cultural ties. In Mendoza, authorities and members of the Spanish community gathered at Plaza España to commemorate the Spanish National Day. The ceremony included musical performances, the playing of national anthems, and floral offerings to honor the historical friendship between Argentina and Spain.

In La Plata, Mayor Julio Alak and the Spanish Ambassador to Argentina, Joaquín María de Arístegui Laborde, inaugurated the renovated Plaza España. The project is part of a broader public space recovery plan by the municipality. The event featured artistic and cultural activities involving Spanish community institutions to celebrate the centennial bonds between the two cultures.
