Argentina commemorates José de San Martín's 176th anniversary

Argentina is observing the 176th anniversary of the passing of General José de San Martín through various institutional tributes.

In Mendoza, the provincial government organized a ceremony at the Casa de Gobierno featuring the ‘Promesa de Lealtad a la Bandera Provincial’ for approximately 500 high school students. The event, attended by Education Minister Tadeo García Zalazar and representatives from various security forces, included the ‘Cambio de Guardia de la Bandera de los Andes’.

Simultaneously, the Argentine Senate launched a new book titled ‘San Martín, un héroe federal’. Spearheaded by Vice President Victoria Villarruel, the publication compiles reflections from senators across different provinces and documents tributes made by the upper house between 2024 and 2025.
