Argentina community blanket drives deliver aid to over 150 people
Local initiatives in Argentina have provided winter clothing to vulnerable residents. In Puerto Yeruá, the "Red de Mantas" project completed a cycle that produced more than 300 crocheted squares, five large blankets and 77 coats for seniors, single adults and children.
Meanwhile, the municipal "Campaña Abrigar 2026" in Almirante Brown collected over 30 blankets, more than 100 clothing items and distributed them through charities such as Cottolengo Don Orione and Cáritas Glew. Organisers highlighted the partnership between volunteers, local businesses, churches and the municipal government, and said the effort strengthens a growing network of solidarity for future winter campaigns.
