Argentina: Community Workshop Educates Residents on Carbon Monoxide Safety

The Municipal Health Center No. 1 (CAMM) in the Tabla Redonda neighbourhood of Argentina organized an informational workshop for local residents during the winter season. Health professionals explained the dangers of carbon monoxide, a colour‑less, odourless gas that can accumulate from heaters, stoves, braseros and other heating devices. They highlighted symptoms such as dizziness, headache, nausea and the risk of severe poisoning, and advised permanent ventilation, regular inspection of heating appliances, and avoiding the use of ovens or kitchen equipment for heating. The team emphasized that clear information and preventive habits are essential to protect families from accidental carbon‑monoxide incidents.
