Argentina competes in Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships

The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships will take place in Frankfurt, Germany, from August 12 to 16, serving as a key event for Olympic qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Games.

Argentina will be represented in both individual and group categories. Individual gymnast Celeste D’Arcangelo will compete in the four apparatuses—hoop, ball, clubs, and ribbon—starting August 12. The Argentine national group, consisting of Lara Aimeri, Pilar Cattaneo, Milena López Lescano, Franca Miravet Piva, and Camila Schaffer, is scheduled to perform their routines on Saturday, August 15.

The competition features 100 individual gymnasts and 42 groups. Notable international competitors include Darja Varfolomeev of Germany, Sofia Raffaeli of Italy, Stiliana Nikolova of Bulgaria, and Tasiia Onofriichuk of Ukraine. The event follows recent changes regarding the participation of Russian gymnasts following the lifting of previous restrictions.
