Argentina convict sentenced for massive synthetic drug shipment

Brian David Rosell, a 30‑year‑old former municipal employee from Entre Ríos, was sentenced to four years and ten months in prison for transporting synthetic narcotics. Police stopped his Chevrolet Tracker near the crossroads of national routes 19 and 34 in Santa Fe after a routine vehicle inspection, discovering 665 doses of MDMA (ecstasy), 70 doses of LSD, 215 g of crystal meth, 320 g of ketamine and cash worth 124,700 pesos. The seizure, valued at more than 57 million pesos, was linked to a broader network that investigators traced through virtual‑wallet transfers amounting to 49 million pesos between April 2024 and November 2025. Subsequent raids at Rosell’s home in Paraná uncovered additional MDMA, ketamine remnants, a precision scale and other paraphernalia, suggesting his role as an intermediary in a sophisticated synthetic‑drug trade operating through electronic payments and high‑value shipments.
