Argentina corn sales reach four-week record high

Corn sales in Argentina have reached a four-week streak of record volumes, with 4.88 million tons traded over the last month. This represents the best performance of the 2025/26 campaign, driven by increased activity in futures and options markets and higher prices compared to August.

Weekly trading exceeded one million tons, specifically reaching 1.03 million tons in the most recent week. Shipments also saw a significant rise, totaling 2.3 million tons, the highest weekly level since 2021. Total corn commitments for the campaign have reached 43 million tons, accounting for 61.3% of the estimated production.

The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries has increased its production projection for the campaign to 72.5 million tons, an increase of 800,000 tons from previous estimates.
