Argentina debates pension reform in Entre Ríos and land sale legislation

Senator Rafael Cavagna said Entre Ríos has the most deficit‑laden pension system among the 13 provincial boxes and urged a revision of the regime after more than 30 years. He highlighted extensive hearings, over 20 modifications to the budget bill and a consensus that the reform is necessary for the province.

Governor Axel Kicillof in Avellaneda condemned a national proposal that would ease the sale of rural land to foreigners, calling it a surrender of sovereignty and urging legislators to reject the measure. He made the remarks while inaugurating a new health‑care centre for the community.
