Argentina declines Morocco friendly match proposal

The Argentine national football team has declined a proposal to play a friendly match against Morocco, despite an offer from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). Reports indicate the FRMF offered approximately one million dollars to host the match in Rabat during the October international window.

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) cited logistical challenges and a strategic focus on upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers as primary reasons for the decision. The AFA aims to prioritize player rest and fitness for more critical competitions. Additionally, the association reportedly prefers to schedule upcoming friendly matches on Argentine soil to reconnect with their local supporters.

Morocco, seeking to maintain high-level competition following their recent World Cup performances, will now look for alternative opponents for the October window.
