Argentina defeats Burkina Faso 7-0 in international friendly

Argentina defeated Burkina Faso 7-0 in an international friendly held at the Monumental Stadium in Buenos Aires. The match was dominated by the hosts, with Lautaro Martínez scoring the opening goal in the fourth minute.

Other scorers included Gianluca Prestianni, Nico Paz, and Julián Álvarez before halftime. In the second half, Franco Mastantuono added a sixth goal, and Giuliano Simeone scored a header in stoppage time to finalize the scoreline.

The Burkina Faso squad faced significant challenges, arriving in Buenos Aires only five hours before kickoff following a 12-hour journey. The team was composed almost entirely of young players after the original squad boycotted the match due to payment disputes.
