Argentina detains ‘Pequeño J’ in preventive custody for Florencio Varela triple femicide

A federal judge in Morón ordered preventive detention for Tony Janzen Valverde Victoriano, known as “Pequeño J”, accusing him of being a co‑author of the triple femicide in Florencio Varela, where 15‑year‑old Lara Gutiérrez and two 20‑year‑old women were killed. The court found he played an essential role in planning the crime, seizing and moving the victims, and controlling the location where they were held.

“Pequeño J” had been captured in Peru, spent nine months in detention there and was extradited to Argentina in early May. He is now incarcerated at the Federal Penitentiary Complex of Marcos Paz while his lawyers prepare an appeal. Investigators say the murders may be linked to a broader narcotics‑related criminal network.
