Argentina detains suspect for sabotage that halted water supply in San Fernando

Police in the Chaco province arrested 29‑year‑old R.J.G. on suspicion of damaging the electrical system of SAMEEP’s Plant 3, which caused a 24‑hour interruption of potable water to the San Fernando department. The suspect was taken to Hospital Julio C. Perrando, where he was treated for electrical burns on his lower right leg and chest, and placed under police custody. The investigation began after SAMEEP employees reported the damage, and authorities are pursuing charges for alleged damage to state property.
