Argentina detains two men in sexual abuse case and probes armed robbery of Córdoba businessmen
A court in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña ordered preventive detention for Rogelio Gatti and Raimundo Fernández, accused of sexual abuse and mistreatment at the rehabilitation home Regreso al Padre. The investigation, initiated after residents reported the alleged crimes, will continue while the two remain in custody.
In a separate case in Salta province, prosecutors charged four men with armed robbery after two Córdoba entrepreneurs were ambushed while attempting to purchase quebracho wood in Santa Victoria Este. The victims, carrying about 25 million pesos in cash, were seized by a group of masked assailants who stripped them of the money and documents. Authorities have issued national and international arrest warrants for the primary suspect and are conducting searches in the area.
