Argentina disability providers to suspend treatments over funding cuts
Disability service providers in Argentina have announced they will suspend treatments starting Monday, August 31, due to a lack of fund transfers from the Superintendency of Health Services.
The Association of Disability Providers (Aspredis) described the situation as a “total cutoff in the payment chain,” affecting professionals in fields such as occupational therapy, psychology, speech therapy, and psychopedagogy. The entity noted that the funding delays impact both professional income and the daily operation of therapy centers.
While the national government recently officialized a 2.10% increase in basic benefit system fees for August via Resolution 2775/2026, workers argue these adjustments are insufficient to keep pace with accumulated inflation.
