Argentina e-commerce and international courier spending show growth

Argentina is experiencing significant growth in both domestic e-commerce and international courier imports. The Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CACE) is preparing for CyberMonday 2026, scheduled for November 2 to 4. This follows a strong first half of 2026, where the sector recorded 181.5 million purchase orders and a turnover of $19.53 trillion, representing a 28% nominal year-on-year increase.

Simultaneously, international purchases via the courier system reached $105 million in September. According to Analytica, based on INDEC data, this marks the seventh consecutive month where monthly spending has exceeded $100 million. Total imports for the first nine months of the year reached $960 million, a 59.5% increase compared to the same period last year. Projections suggest 2026 could end with record cumulative imports exceeding $1.25 billion.

Under current regulations from the Agency of Collection and Customs Control (ARCA), courier shipments are limited to a maximum weight of 50 kg and a value of $3,000 per shipment. Small shipments are restricted to three units and five shipments per person annually, with imports under $400 exempt from certain duties.
