Santa Fe Governor Pullaro advocates for industrial growth and job creation

During the Industry Day lunch organized by the Federación Industrial de Santa Fe (FISFE) in Esperanza, Santa Fe Governor Maximiliano Pullaro and various industrial leaders discussed the economic future of the region. Pullaro emphasized the strategic importance of the productive interior, noting that Santa Fe hosts 7,000 SMEs, 21,000 agricultural producers, and 2,100 cooperatives.

Pullaro highlighted provincial investments in infrastructure, including 400 kilometers of gas pipelines and road repairs, aimed at reducing logistics costs and increasing competitiveness. He also addressed the fiscal situation, stating that only 20% of the tax burden in the province corresponds to local taxes. He called for a national model that prioritizes job creation and protects industrial growth.

Martín Rappallini, president of the Unión Industrial Argentina (UIA), advocated for a 'bridge' to help SMEs navigate the current economic transition. He stressed the need for simplified tax burdens, better access to credit, and clear rules to allow national industry to compete globally. The discussions occurred amid a period of industrial decline, with reports indicating a drop in manufacturing activity.
