Guillermo Francos signals potential LLA and PRO alliance for 2027

Former Chief of Staff Guillermo Francos has signaled the potential for a broad electoral alliance between La Libertad Avanza and the PRO for the 2027 elections. Francos expressed confidence that liberal and free-market sectors, including various governors, will unite to support the continuity of President Javier Milei’s economic reforms.

Francos defended the current administration's economic trajectory, highlighting fiscal balance and export growth as key indicators of success. He dismissed concerns regarding a potential recession and emphasized that the Large Investment Incentive Regime (RIGI) will drive employment through energy and mining projects. He also addressed internal dynamics, stating that potential disagreements within the coalition should not jeopardize the structural reforms currently underway.

However, political tensions remain. Former Finance Minister Hernán Lacunza warned that a pact between the PRO and the ruling party could lead to the disappearance of the PRO's identity. Meanwhile, public opinion data indicates economic anxiety, with a majority of Milei's voters reporting that their salaries are not keeping pace with inflation.
