Argentina expands 5G infrastructure to 2,300 active sites

Argentina is entering a decisive phase in its telecommunications market following the advancement of 5G networks. According to data from the National Communications Entity (ENACOM), the country has reached 2,300 active 5G sites, representing 10% of the total mobile infrastructure deployed nationwide.

As the country moves toward further spectrum availability and allocation, telecommunications operators face the dual challenge of scaling network capacity and strategically converting high speed and low latency into high-value services for industrial and corporate sectors. This development coincides with rising connectivity demands; INDEC reported that during the first quarter of 2026, internet access averaged over 51 million, a 3.8% increase compared to the previous year.
