Argentina expands community reading and mobile play programs for children

In Sáenz Peña, Chaco Province, the Municipal Reading Plan held a session at the Pancita Feliz community kitchen, where more than 60 children took part in reading activities, games and environmental education. Volunteers read the book "Jacinta" to raise awareness about plastic use and recycling, while local staff highlighted the program’s daily support for meals, dance, music and other workshops.

In the Costanera Norte neighborhood of Buenos Aires Province, the Social Ministry presented the "Ludoteca Itinerante," a mobile playroom designed to promote recreation and integral development for children in vulnerable districts. The launch, attended by Social Minister Federico Masso and local officials, emphasized the device’s role in delivering public‑policy services such as education, health, housing and nutrition through playful learning.

Both initiatives are part of a broader strategy to bring cultural and educational services directly to community centers across Argentina.
