Argentina expands electrical infrastructure in Ituzaingó and El Trébol

Energy infrastructure projects are underway in Argentina to expand electrical capacity for industrial and residential use. In Ituzaingó, Corrientes, the Dirección Provincial de Energía de Corrientes (DPEC) has doubled the capacity of the Industrial Park's transformer station, replacing a 15 MVA unit with a 30 MVA transformer. This upgrade aims to meet rising energy demands, including a new long-fiber wood industrialization plant, and will benefit local businesses, urban users, and rural residents.

In El Trébol, a new transformer station project has been signed with the Empresa Provincial de la Energía (EPE). The project involves an investment of approximately 16 billion pesos to create an 80-megawatt capacity station. This infrastructure is intended to improve service stability, reduce power outages, and alleviate demand on the San Jorge station. The project also aims to facilitate the future integration of non-conventional energy sources and support local SMEs by providing the necessary power for connection.
