Argentina expands health promoter and nursing training in Paraná and Santiago del Estero

The Municipality of Paraná continued a program to train health promoters, adding 15 new volunteers under a cooperation agreement with the Cooperative of Work Esperanza Gualeguaychú. The training aims to reinforce primary‑care teams, support vaccination and other preventive campaigns in local neighborhoods.

In the southern part of Santiago del Estero province, the Argentine Ministry of Health, together with the municipalities of Sumampa and Ojo de Agua and the Cruz Roja Argentina, signed agreements to expand nursing education and repurpose the former district hospital building for community health services. The accords will provide certified nursing training, practical placements in local hospitals, and strengthen the regional health response.
