Argentina expands July discounts for retirees and Cuenta DNI users

The National Social Security Administration (ANSES) has launched a July benefit scheme for retirees and pensioners that provides automatic discounts and cash‑back reimbursements at participating supermarkets, pharmacies and other retailers. Major chains such as Disco, Jumbo, Vea, Coto, La Anónima and Carrefour offer 10%‑15% off, with some stores placing transaction caps. Several banks add extra rebates: Banco Nación adds a 5% bonus, Banco Galicia up to 25% additional savings, Banco Supervielle offers 20% off on Tuesdays at selected stores and 50% off at affiliated pharmacies, and the Banco Provincia DNI account gives a 5% extra discount on selected supermarkets.

Banco Provincia has also refreshed the promotions linked to its digital Cuenta DNI wallet for July 2026. Users can obtain 10%‑15% off at supermarkets (e.g., Día on Mondays, Nini Mayorista on Tuesdays), a flat 20% discount at local neighborhood shops from Monday to Friday, 10% off at pharmacies and perfumeries on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 40% off at fairs, market stalls, garrafas, universities and clubs daily. Additional 10%‑25% discounts apply at bookstores, restaurants and selected brands on specific days. All benefits require payment through the Cuenta DNI app using QR codes, Clave DNI, linked cards or approved payment links, and some have weekly or monthly reimbursement limits.
