Argentina expands mobility benefits for people with disabilities

In Argentina, individuals with a valid Unique Disability Certificate (CUD) can now access various mobility benefits through digital registration processes.

For public transportation, the Secretariat of Transport allows users to link their CUD to their SUBE card via the official electronic ticketing system website. This linkage enables a 100% discount on bus and train fares automatically, provided the card is activated at a SUBE terminal or via an NFC-enabled mobile app. This benefit may also extend to an accompanying person if specified by the CUD.

Additionally, holders of a CUD are entitled to toll exemptions on national routes. This benefit applies to the vehicle transporting the person with a disability, including private cars and adapted units. To obtain this exemption, users must register through the Vialidad Nacional digital platform, submitting documentation for the individual, the driver, and the vehicle. Approval typically takes between 5 and 30 days. If exemptions are not honored at toll booths, claims can be filed through the National Disability Agency (ANDIS) or Vialidad Nacional.
