Argentina expands municipal child health and welfare programs
In Bragado, Buenos Aires Province, the municipal government, with support from the provincial Ministry of Health, continued the third year of the Provincial School Health Program. The initiative provides basic health checks—including weight, height, vision and dental examinations—to primary students in first and sixth grades. More than 1,000 children have been screened across 21 schools.
Separately, the Centro de Atención Médica Municipal (CAMM) No. 7 in the Avenida neighbourhood organized an educational session for third‑grade pupils at Escuela Primaria Municipal N.º 1 “Nilda Ada Alderete.” The activity focused on raising awareness of child labour, explaining children’s rights and promoting a safe, school‑focused childhood.
