Argentina expands school enrichment programs with winter activities and free glasses for primary students
The Argentine Ministry of Education launched the Fortalecimiento Educativo winter program in Tierra del Fuego, offering primary‑school children pedagogical, recreational and sports activities during the two‑week winter break. Activities are held in provincial schools in Ushuaia, Tolhuin and Río Grande, and are linked to the “World Cup in Tierra del Fuego” theme.
In the Tigre district, municipal officials delivered close to 500 pairs of glasses to students at schools N° 19 and N° 49 under the “Para Verte Mejor” initiative. The program, part of the PROSANE school health scheme and supported by Volkswagen and Óptica Visión Tigre, provides eye examinations and free eyewear to improve learning opportunities for children from low‑income families.
