Argentina expels Peruvian drug trafficker from ‘Dumbo’ gang
The Argentine government, through the Ministry of Security, has expelled Nick Gerald Guido Alcalde, a Peruvian national, from the country. Alcalde, known by the aliases ‘Yujo’ or ‘Yuju’, was a member of a powerful criminal organization led by Raúl Martín Maylli Rivera, also known as ‘Dumbo’.
Alcalde had been serving a nine-year prison sentence at the Ezeiza Federal Penitentiary Complex. He was convicted of aggravated drug trafficking involving organized crime and the exploitation of minors. The criminal network, which operated between November 2018 and June 2021, was involved in the supply, processing, storage, and distribution of cocaine and marijuana. The group maintained influence in the Barrio Padre Mugica of Villa Lugano and had connections to the 1-11-14 villa in Bajo Flores.
This action marks the fourth expulsion of a member of the ‘Dumbo’ gang, all of whom were Peruvian nationals. The gang leader, Maylli Rivera, was previously arrested in Lima, Peru, in October 2022 and transferred to a maximum-security prison in Argentina.
