Argentina exports 8.6 tons of pacú fish to the United States
Argentina has strengthened its agro-industrial exports to the United States with a new shipment of over 8.6 tons of pacú fish. The National Service for Agri-Food Health and Quality (SENASA) certified the sanitary and safety standards of 8,644 kilograms of meat produced in Puerto Las Palmas, Chaco.
The certification was conducted by the Chaco-Formosa Regional Center at Official Establishment No. 4969. This facility holds federal transit permits and authorization to export to key markets, including the United States, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay.
To reach its destination, the cargo was transported by land from Chaco, crossed the Andes through Mendoza, and was eventually shipped from a Chilean port to the United States. The export of this freshwater species, Piaractus mesopotamicus, is part of a broader effort to diversify Argentina's regional agricultural exports.
