Argentina investment trends: agricultural land, digital wallets, and mutual funds

Argentina is experiencing shifts in various investment sectors, including agricultural land, digital wallets, and mutual funds. Agricultural land prices have seen a resurgence, rising between 25% and 30% in less than three years due to market deregulation and pro-market policies.

In the digital finance sector, interest rates have prompted updates across various platforms. Virtual wallets such as Lemon Cash, Cocos Pay, and Ualá are offering annual nominal rates (TNA) around 20%, while Mercado Pago offers alternatives reaching up to 25.76% through certain investment classes.

Additionally, fixed-income mutual funds are gaining traction. Some T+1 funds are reporting returns of up to 27%, while CER-adjusted strategies are approaching 30%. Economists note that for sustainable growth, the country must look beyond internal consumption, balancing real wages with employment levels and labor informality.
