Argentina faces rising social dissatisfaction and political apathy

Recent polling in Argentina indicates widespread social dissatisfaction, with a survey by the Laboratorio de Observación de la Opinión Pública (LOOP) showing that 89% of respondents are dissatisfied with the country's direction. Additionally, 57% of those surveyed believe the national situation has worsened compared to last year.

Despite this discontent, the government intends to maintain its current anti-inflationary policies. Officials have indicated that the strategy will continue, citing statistics that show an increase in consumption, though data suggests this growth has not reached the most vulnerable sectors. Meanwhile, northern governors are reportedly negotiating as a bloc with the central government.

Other data from Zentrix Consultora highlights a significant political vacuum, noting that 63% of the population expresses a lack of interest in politics and leadership. The reports suggest that if a party representing “none of the above” existed, it would win a first-round election, as no major political space currently exceeds 35% in voting intention. The president's negative image has reportedly risen to 58.5%, while opposition figures face similar levels of rejection.
