Argentina football marks Enzo Fernández mural and Paredes' captaincy gift

The Club La Recova in San Martín unveiled a mural honoring midfielder Enzo Fernández, who began his career at the club and later lifted the World Cup trophy in Qatar 2022. The artwork shows Fernández raising the trophy and celebrating his goal in the 2026 World Cup semifinal, and the ceremony was attended by local officials, his parents and community members. Fernández recorded a message for the crowd, saying, “Disfruten de la etapa del baby, que es la más linda.”

In a separate event, Boca Juniors midfielder Leandro Paredes handed the captain’s armband to 20‑year‑old Milton Delgado after the team’s victory over Estudiantes. Paredes called the gesture “un premio” for Delgado’s effort and daily commitment, highlighting the young player’s growing role in the squad.
