Argentina hosts academic events on sociology research and teacher training

A book titled "Una sociología de la vida en común" was presented, summarising findings from the Programa de Investigación sobre la Sociedad Argentina Contemporánea (PISAC) and the National Survey on Social Relations (ENRS). The research, funded by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MINCyT) and the Secretariat of University Policies, examines how personal ties such as friendships, partnerships, support networks and everyday conflicts shape well‑being and social inequality across Argentina.

In a separate event, the Universidad Nacional de Villa María (UNViMe) organized a teacher‑training day at the Barrio Los Poetas complex. The session, attended by Rector Marcelo Sosa and other university officials, was part of the PROIPRO research project on building professional identity among primary‑education residents. About 30 teachers from Villa Mercedes and Justo Daract participated in workshops aimed at reflecting on teaching practices and fostering dialogue with the academic community.
